Ab-Soul – LongTerm 2 (VideoTrailer)

Chasen Paper, 9 June, 2010

Trailer 2 from TopDawgEntTDE’s Ab-Soul. His mixtape “Longterm 2: Lifestyles of the Broke & Almost Famous” drops June 28th.

After the release of his collaborative album with Wax, Dumbfoundead also has his solo album still in the works and here’s a release on one his songs. No it’s not a music video, but DFD shows love to the fans giving his track about his travels away for free or for however much support you want to give him. He also makes an open call to producers or animators and people of that sort to make a video to his song that if picked, will be put up on his youtube and will receive a generous care package. Download the song on his site.

Alexander Spit kicks it over Flying Lotus’ “Tea Leaf Dancers” a beat that makes a go at being the sound track for your kookie dream from last night. More work from Alexander Spit is needed on the internet pronto.

Perched high a-top Mount Stunna hanging out with Stunnaman is entertaining as hell. There is no end to the funny shit that this cat will do when the cameras on. In this segment he decided that he should take us on a tour of his Hollywood mansion. I personally would just take the Bull Mastiff named Vern and the view. I don’t need such massive lodging.

Yung & BlasSted X Stunnaman of The Pack

Chasen Paper, 25 May, 2010

24KMilkCrate jetted to L.A for this Yung & BlaSsted feature. Stunnaman is a hard cat to keep up with especially after the release of his mixtape Legendary (Click link to download his mixtape). So when we had the chance to turn the camera on him and hear what this blassted emcee had to say about the meaning of his ink we jumped at it. He definitely exemplifies the philosophy of the BlaSst. Every piece had a story and a meaning that helps propel and remind him of his ambitions in life and as usual he’s always entertaining. Watch it now!

Download Here: Rob Roy “King Warrior Magician Lover”

Happy Monday folks, start your week off straight and DOWNLOAD Rob Roy’s “King Warror Magician Lover”. This album has been out for a year now but has never been released for free download on the internets. Previously it was up on IMEEM (R.I.P) and in the first week he recieved 800,000 thousand plays, shout outs on Kanye’s blog for his video, “Fur In My Cap” (see below) and a slew of critical acclaim. The best way to describe Rob Roy’s music is experimental party jamming free associative existentialism. The beats are dope and his rhymes are way beyond your average cat, and mos def better than any mix tape slated to drop this week guaranteed. GET UP ON MAGIC! Oh and while you’re at it Google up the book “King Warrior Magician Lover” and step your life game up!

Vid- M.I.A. “Born Free” Dir: Romain-Gavras

Chasen Paper, 26 April, 2010

Spectacular video for M.I.A’s “Born Free” track that she leaked the other day. Provocative, and throughout provoking while still remaining intelligent are hallmarks of M.I.A’s more poignant work. Shot in L.A, the video seems ment to make Americans stop for a moment and ask themselves what it would look like if they had to endure what people in developing nations have to endure every day to be free, including here in the U.S when they immigrate. This is NSFW. Check the FLY SHIT.

The envy that fills my heart at the fact that I will not be able to attend David Choe’s hugely hyped show in LA this Friday is Shakespearian. It’s enough to make me kill my brother if I had one so I could attend. If you’re in LA this Friday do me a favor and go there and get totally waste-oided and don’t look @ any of the art. Just have the most smashing fucking time ever with your friends around all the “Too Cool” tastemakers who I’m sure will be in attendance and have a blasSt for me. Thanks. I’ll stop by Lazarides in May and catch the show then.
