For 15 years The Jacka has been cutting his own kind of dope and pitching it to eager consumers of mob influenced hip hop across the world. His current release “Got Bots 2 The D-Boy Era” featuring crushing re-productions of classic hip hop era beats with his homie Lee Majors falls neatly into that slot he’s cut for himself. It’s notoriously tough to track down the Jacka, he’s constantly moving like a shark swimming through the ocean. Picking up people, doing shows across the country and sitting only long enough to write a solid verse and he’s back on the move. His words are backed by a solid street cred on and off the mic, partially having to do with him making his first 6 figures off hip hop when he was just 17 straight out of high school and never looking back. One could even say after listening to this interview that The Jacka was born into hip hop and he truly experienced the 80’s…those halcyon days known as the first Golden Era. From Slick Rick, label dominated street fashion to breakdancing to the out break of crack cocaine in the hood the Jacka was there and these are just a few of his thoughts. Get Up On Magic!

Perched high a-top Mount Stunna hanging out with Stunnaman is entertaining as hell. There is no end to the funny shit that this cat will do when the cameras on. In this segment he decided that he should take us on a tour of his Hollywood mansion. I personally would just take the Bull Mastiff named Vern and the view. I don’t need such massive lodging.

Welcome to part 2 the last segment of our interview with mega hustlin’ NYC shooter Alexander Richter. In this segment he breaks down some of his favorite shots from METHOD MAN, to HELTA SKELTA along with the thoughts that come with the ups and downs of the struggle. We usually cover hip hop artists on 24KMilkCrate so hopefully this gives you an idea of what it takes to make it on the other side of the lens. Get Up On Magic!

Alexander Richter has been busting his ass in the NYC hip hop scene as a photographer sweating under his relentless work pace. While not in the business as long as some career “professional” photographers, he’s sure as hell busted his ass and worked as hard if not harder than one in order to establish a solid rep in a very short period of time. With stacks of ILL photos with almost every national emcee that lands in New York. Recently while out in Queens, 24KMilkCrate.Com caught up with the shotta to get some insights on his hustle and grind. You’re in a position to learn a thing or two. Stay with us and GET UP ON MAGIC!

The Blue Scholars are arguably one of the best and most well known hip hop groups out of the Pacific North West. Their fan base trails continents, ethnicities and ages. One thing is constant though. As we continue our march to solidifying ourselves as one of the preeminent WEST COAST indie hip hop sites, 24KMilkCrate.Com had to do a piece with Bambu. He is one of the ILLEST performers and emcees in hip hop music right now. A perfect blend of Los Angeles gangster, political and social savy, and pro active aggression his rhymes aren’t to be taken lightly ever. Always profound his stage show is that of a polished professional coupled with a killer delivery. Bambu (or Bam) says he only has one more album in him, but he’s just hitting his prime so forgive the look of skepticism on our faces. For now though, check this live shit we got for you at the show he rocked with the Blue Scholars this Friday in Los Angeles at the historic Viper Room on Sunset and GET UP ON MAGIC!

24KMilkCrate.Com TV: J.DaVinci Interview Pt. 1

Chasen Paper, 5 February, 2010

J.Davinci’s interpretation of his brutal surroundings growing up in San Francisco’s Fillmore hasn’t led him down your typical emcees path. While many artists choose to use their harsh environment as a platform to deliver equally harsh and stark rhymes. J.DaVinci’s art is filtred through a desire to understand the broad scope of poverty, drugs, and survival. He’s a sniper though, and he rarely strays off of his mark, whether it’s Benjamins, gurls, slangin’, or gentrification in his neighborhood.  Along with his Thorobred click and SwtBrds Creative Collective backing DaVinci is set to drop his album “The Day The Turf Stood Still” March 9th and it’s already getting the attention it deserves. Check out the illest artist about to drop in the Bay Area and GET UP ON MAGIC!

24KMilkCrate.Com TV Interview W/ The Alchemist

Chasen Paper, 26 December, 2009

Recently 24KMilkCrateTV caught up with Alch while he was in town rocking a party for our folks @ Killa Lipstick and Wild N Krazy Kids. We asked him some pretty off the wall questions that he was kind enough to entertain us on. GET UP ON MAGIC.

While in beautiful NYC for CMJ in October 24KMilkCrate was lucky enough to catch up with Don Will and Von Pea of Tanya Morgan. The theme for the night was relationships, specifically their past ones! Considering they we’re ambushed on the topic, they we’re frank about their love losses and lessons. Check it out and GET UP ON MAGIC!

Much has been said in on the internets about TiRon, ElPrez, and Dom Kennedy, most importantly they are three of the dopest rising L.A flag bearers in the hip hop game. Instead of asking them the usual stockade of questions, we mashed up some highlights for you. We’ll have the individual interview joints for your consumption asap. For now sit back and…Get Up On Magic.
