DaVinci is hitting you with hip hop so effin raw it doesn’t matter what coast or side you’re from. I’m just glad he’s from Frisco, finally reppin that cold calm rap shit from a west coast perspective. Big up to the SWTBRDS COLLECTIVE GET UP ON MAGIC!
DaVinci debut album: THE DAY THE TURF STOOD STILL. Out now.
Another totally awesome piece from Respect Magazine. This time on shooter Mike Schriber a Jewish dude from Long Island who just hustled his way into being a magazine quality photographer. My favorite quote is when he says people ask him, “How do you go from shooting your friends to shooting for magazines?” He replies “…I always just say, ‘I never shot my friends’” classic!
Bambu has set the bar very high for emcees and the times of the “cool” or “swaged” out artist who could ride on charisma alone are fading fast. Bambu is at the fore front of a forth coming sea change of dudes who fuse socially aware rhymes with real mic skills and visuals cropped straight from his own life experiences as well as the that of youngsters who deal with the sames truths on on a daly basis in this world. Theres too much actual shit happening out there in the wold for the people to continue to be content with these wanna be cats who express no sense of higher self in their raps. This is real shit homie, GET UP ON MAGIC!

Psyche…that’d be a asinine comparison. Their videos on the other hand can be. I know that X’s isn’t a true one take but with technology these days I don’t even know fully if J.Cole’s is either. Both videos are pretty damn fresh though, X’s standing out more just because I feel like it has a way more substance and story line than J.Cole’s which is visually stimulating but lacks a solid story backbone.
Philip Drummond holds the Bay Area down when it comes to monthly beat battles. This one holds a special place because it highlights the infamous S.F Vs. Oakland rivalry that will exist for eternity. Hosted by one of the Bay Areas freshest emcees Do Dat, looks like downtown was the place to be that night.
24kMilkCrate.Com (24Karat Milkcrate) is guided by the renegade mentality, irreverence for authority and creativity that birthed hip hop. Dedicated to serving you up doses of original content in large amounts we don't stop moving or improving and we aim to thoroughly kill it. Get up on magic!
