SLAPPERS-(O.G) KEGS ONE, HTK, GTB

Chasen Paper, 7 April, 2010

I know I slipped off the slapper grind for a hot second but my homie KEGS ONE brought me back to life when I received a slightly heavier than usual white envelope from him in the mail. KEGS’ hand styles are famous. Original, clean, and able to be busted quickly, HTK has been rockin for two decades now. They are indigenous to S.F South Bay/Peninsula area and he and his crew made it known on the streets who the originators were. GET THE FUCK UP ON MAGIC!

“P.S. If you have ILL hand styles. Throw up some fresh shit on a slapper and send it to the address below

24KMILKCRATE.COM, 2725 Mission St. San Francisco, California, 94110 “

Growing up and living in Frisco and being into graf art means that you probably idolized Twist and Amaze. They bombed fucking hard. Subways, streets, buses, tunnels, billboards, overpasses, roofs, practically everything insight and in the process they ignited an appetite for street art in thousands of inner city and suburban kids. The hunger for their work has only grown through the years as they’ve become more public. That’s why it’s so fresh to see how they have expanded into huge international gallery artists in the past decade. In this MTN Diaries piece below they document the creation of Twist and Amaze’s crazy crushed and up turned construction vans as they prepare and instillation for a show in Lyon, France. GET UP ON MAGIC!
